The Electrogen was designed to run on Fuel Cell (Proton Exchange Membrane) and Microturbine Technology. The concept of Fuel Cell Auto Engine was developed for electric cars that generate their own electricity through an electrochemical process that combines hydrogen protons with oxygen from the air. The resulting exhaust is water.
Microturbine Technology involves a miniaturized turbine powered electric engine consisting of a generator with a spinning shaft with
a speed of 96,000 revolutions per minute. This serves simultaneously
as a compressor, a turbine and an electric generator.
The combine use of these two technologies (a hybrid) facilitates a vehicle with speed and power (for steep hills). Together the two energy sources eliminates the need to stop and charge.
By using a lean alternative energy source and eliminating the process of burning hydrocarbons, The Electrogen offers an ideal answer to the problem of air pollution created by other motor vehicles. |
